Sample Page

This is an example page. It’s different from a blog post because it will stay in one place and will show up in your site navigation (in most themes). Most people start with an About page that introduces them to potential site visitors. It might say something like this:

Hi there! I’m a bike messenger by day, aspiring actor by night, and this is my website. I live in Los Angeles, have a great dog named Jack, and I like piƱa coladas. (And gettin’ caught in the rain.)

…or something like this:

The XYZ Doohickey Company was founded in 1971, and has been providing quality doohickeys to the public ever since. Located in Gotham City, XYZ employs over 2,000 people and does all kinds of awesome things for the Gotham community.

As a new WordPress user, you should go to your dashboard to delete this page and create new pages for your content. Have fun!

This is a new paragraph I started 12/8/20. I just got my 96 brush pen set and mandala coloring book. I happily colored in the first page. The 96 pens are sitting under my beautiful Christmas tree.

Now I am ready to go to bed and get under the electric blanket-same night as above. But first I will write about the Vermeer painting I have of the woman’s face I am looking at. I imagine she is illuminated by candle light

She is holding the candle holder with the lit candle, she stops to look at me before walking upstairs to her bedroom. It is very dark in the large house

She has on pearl earrings and hat, a long sleeve blouse, a long blue skirt and a blue apron. Having washed and dried the dishes from dinner it is time for bed.

12/10/20 I luckily found WordPress Gutenberg Block Basics 2020 and discovered the Modes tool that switches between Edit mode and Select Mode. Also in trying to get the second paragraph to move back to center -when I selected Change text alignment it didn’t move the paragraph to the right -it centered the text in the middle. Apparently my selecting Undo got the LA bike messenger back

Great just discovered in Select mode I selected a block and hit delete and it was gone. Moving ahead. Just discovered the Align text will not do what I want (move the entire block to the middle). So lets see what I now know in the tool bar – tools or modes, undo/redo, details, outlining (haven’t used this), change block type or style (haven’t used this) , change text alignment, Bold, italics, link, more rich text controls( haven’t ) , more options.

12/12 Outlining, arrow up, undo – have to select it first, duplicate, font size, color

Italics, xfinity, sanitation, red cross, have to keep practicing, so it becomes second nature. Planning my recital tomorrow

I just deleted the paragraph above

Preparing for Craig 12/14/20

Lets see if I can summarize what I have done, show setting full sidebar click +, save changes , undo last changes -arrow to left, redo last saved changes, select all text command A, block editor on right-font size, color settings, font size, up load photo image, table , list, trying to figure out Outdent that moves text-I’m afraid of deleting the block Question for Craig how to move the out dented text back to center. Also Craig I am using the Tool to switch from select to edit. So I select a block before I move it or edit it-don’t know if this is the most efficient way to do thisSee you tomorrow at 1

12/15/20 Answer to my own questions, Command A keyboard shortcut selects the paragraph, Select – Escape, Edit is Enter, I just used Select and the up arrow to move . So Select is to move text around, Edit is to edit MUCH SIMPLER TO USE COMMAND A TO SELECT A TEXT AND USE SELECT TO MOVE PARAGRAPHS AROUND
